System Support Engineer - Factory Automation

Experience!

We're seeking a talented System Support Engineer who will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

* daily customer support via telephone and remote access, collaborating with customer IT/IS departments 📞

* server software in customers environments 🖥️

* installation, setup, configuration, and commissioning of connected devices to specification 🛠️

* network communications on all line devices and associated systems, conducting system tests during commissioning 🌐

* and escalate issues to relevant departments when necessary ⚠️

* engineering team remotely with expertise in latest software releases 🚀

Requirements:

* in client-facing roles supporting IT projects or systems, such as a 1st line support role 🤝

* in some full-cycle software implementation 🔄

* with end users, guiding them on system usage 🧑‍💻

* communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills 💬

* of TCP/IP networks, including features like Firewalls, IIS, and FTP 🔒

* Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 📊

* with around 10% travel to customer sites, with occasional overseas travel (notice provided) ✈️

Desirable, but not essential

* to scripting languages such as XML, XSLT, ASP 💻

* of other Microsoft SQL tools including SSRS, SSAS, SSIS 📈

* of working within a business that links software to industrial devices 🏭
