Stock Controller
We are currently looking for an experienced Stock Controller to join our client's busy warehouse team,
* 25-26k
* Monday to Thursday - 8.15am until 5pm and Friday 8.15-12.30

Responsible ensuring accurate and efficient management of stocks (with correct stock entries which are updated in a timely manner). Dedicated to improving operational efficiency in warehouse environments through diligent stock management and effective leadership. Uses exceptional communication and organisational skill to ensure accurate, timely inventory management, achieving operational goals. Supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation of the business and respecting procedures and safety standards.
Stock Controller Role, Responsibilities and Contribution
General
· The Stock Controller is the custodian of stock records, responsible for physical verification, regular reconciliation and general monitoring of stock activity.
· To complete perpetual stock taking in line with the schedule
· Investigate all stock errors. Reports discrepancies and the potential consequences of these discrepancies to the main stakeholder.
· Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc inventory levels and consumption reports to all the relevant stakeholders.
· Facilitate and participate in annual stock counts
· Coordinate with warehouse team to implement and ensure a control system to reduce inventory obsolescence.
· Support accurate and timely reporting through ensuring all stock data is updated correctly
· Carry out spot checks on stock balances as and when required by the relevant stakeholders
· Ensure all stock is presented in presented in a neat and tidy state.
· Look to improve the utilisation of the warehouse
· Adapts handling technique according to type of goods handled
· Performs repetitious physical movements in a controlled, rapid and precise manner and aligned to H&S
· To ensure that strict procedures and timescales are followed.
· Competently uses warehouse equipment to move goods
· Performs necessary H&S checks on MHE and reports defects as necessary
· Executes operations within required timeframes and without having a negative impact on quality
· To understand and comply with all departmental rules, agreements and quality procedures.
· To immediately report all operational problems and restraints to your Manager
Stock Controller Problem identification
· Detects and corrects goods allocated to the incorrect warehouse location bay
· Detects and corrects goods left laying in and around the Warehouse, Pick and Pack areas
· Understand and identifies the nature of goods damage
· Finds out the causes and assess the impact of discrepancies noted during checking processes
