Used to a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? Used to over-seeing others' or keen to do so? In need of a new challenge? This role is in a food packaging environment working Monday-Friday 2-10pm with the potential need to stay on paid - depending on workload. As a supervisor you will work with and lead a team to ensure that production runs smoothly and to the quality expected.
Sample duties involved with the Quality Control Teamleader role:
Lead your team to ensure that all aspects of Health & Safety, quality, quantity, and costs are met
Ensure that production records are signed off
Raise any operational problems with the Production Manager
Work closely with the shift QC/QA to ensure that all quality standards are met
Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that all issues are dealt with in a timely manner
Cleaning of production facilities will also be part of the role
Maintain staffing levels and development through training to ensure a multi-skilled team
Work to improve efficiency levels and minimise wastage
Help to deliver the site KPI's
Skills & Experience:
Highly motivated and keen to grow with the business
Excellent people/communication skills, able to converse at all levels
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Food Handling training
Hands on with a practical approach
Good decision-making skills happy to deputise for the Production Manager
Working knowledge of BRC Std v8
Very Quality focused with critical attention to detail
Forklift licence ideal
Full driving licence is essential due to location
25 days holidays plus BH
