Speech and Language Therapist ( SALT)  - Neurological care centre £3000 welcome bonus 
Role : HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist ( SALT)
Location : Ipswich , Suffolk
Salary : £18.15p/h - £21.55 p/h  The actual rate of pay will be within these advertised bandings and will be dependent on your ability to demonstrate your competence during the interview.
Hours : Part time -  22.5h per week - Working hours and shifts negotiable 
Contract Type : Permanent

You'll be working for a reputable leading national charity. We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to work within a Neurological Centre which specialises in neuro-rehabilitation and long-term support of people who have acquired Head and Brain injuries, Huntington's, Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis.  
The Speech and Language Therapist will have experience in managing a designated caseload, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions and evaluating outcomes to align care plans. You will receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and you will have access to a variety of training courses, CPD and career supervision.
Requirements

HCPC Registration
Degree in Speech and Language therapy
Experience of managing a case load involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia
Experience in SaLt Models and interventions in Acquired brain injuries, including cognitive communication and social communication
Experience in managing a complex caseload
Previous experience working with adults essential  

Responsibilities :

Neurobehavioural Approach: Apply current research and evidence-based practices for brain injury treatment, centered on user needs.

Comprehensive Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to develop rehabilitation goals, care plans, and therapy programs.

Communication and Consent: Gain informed consent, work within legal frameworks, and maintain confidentiality while sharing information.

Dysphagia Management: Perform swallowing assessments, create care plans, and provide training for safe dysphagia management.

Risk Management and Compliance: Follow risk management protocols, conduct safety assessments, and maintain professional registration and standards.
