NXTGEN are in search of an ambitious Personal Tax Manager professional to join a highly reputable and growing Accountancy Practice in their Ipswich office. As a new Personal Tax Manager you will join a firm that have impressive plans in place for their growth over the next 5 years and becoming a top 30 Accountancy firm! They have a modern way of working which really promotes a work life balance as well as internal progression, giving each person the tools and support to develop both personally and professionally. Having had significant growth within Tax in their Ipswich office, they now need a Personal Tax Manager who can work closely with an experienced Director and take ownership of pushing the teams forwards. Ideally this will be someone who is ready to step up from AM to Manager or someone who is an experienced Manager wanting a fresh change and challenge.

Working in a vibrant and non corporate team, you'll have the freedom to be yourself whilst working at a high level. This is a brand new role due to their recent growth and new client wins, as well as recent recruitment at trainee and part qualified level, meaning they now need to bridge the gap between Senior staff and the Directors. You'll be the driving force in the Personal Tax team and will be key in reviewing work, completing complex tax returns for a varying client portfolio, supporting with training junior & senior team members, preparing advisory reports, identifying challenges and ways to improve the team and client services.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage personal and owner-managed business client portfolios.
Supervise all members of the personal Tax team, including managing appraisals, development, and study progress.
Collaborate with partners to ensure high-level client service.
Improve compliance processes and workflows with other tax managers across offices.
Assist and head up project work and collaborate with staff across offices.
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
Build and sustain relationships with clients and professional connections.
Manage WIP, billing, and debtors for assigned portfolio.
Provide advisory support across all offices.What do you need in this role?:

Experience working within a Chartered Accountants within Personal Tax. If you've got a CTA qualification then great, however those who are QBE or part way through studies and have relevant experience will also be highly considered.
In depth knowledge on UK Tax legislation
Experience managing a team and reviewing workFor the successful candidate, you can expect to play a key role in the development of the firms Personal Tax services as well as being presented with fantastic career development prospects.
