Job description:
As a Nurse, you will work as part of the care team, carrying out all relevant forms of care in conjunction with other nurse practitioners. Ensuring that care services are consistently provided to a high-quality standard and the personal care needs of residents are met while respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence. You will assist in the nursing care of the residents and in the general day-day activities of the home.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans for residents.
* Monitor residents' health status and provide skilled nursing care, including medication management and wound care.
* Assess and manage challenging behaviors, employing positive behavior support strategies.
* Advocate for residents' rights and empower them to participate in decision-making about their care.
* Provide ongoing support to residents, families, and care staff.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and effective communication.
* Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, care plans, and interventions.
* Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the care home.
Skills and attributes
* Prior experience as a Registered Nurse.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent skills and knowledge of the job role.
* A full UK Driving Licence.
Qualifications required for the role
* NMC registered nurse with relevant post-registration experience.
