We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team in coordinating and optimising transport operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure efficient transportation processes.
What You Will Be Doing
Plan and coordinate transport routes to meet delivery schedules
Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely deliveries
Utilise IT systems for route planning and tracking
Monitor transport costs and maintain accurate records
Optimise vehicle loads to maximise efficiency
Address any transport issues or delays promptly
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Who we are looking for:
Proven experience in Transport Planning
Proficient in English, both written and verbal
Knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations
Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
Ability to use software such as Excel and Word for data analysis and reporting
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Valid driving licence for occasional site visits
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm OR 8am-6pm (Flexibility required)
