Priority Recruitment are excited to present this brand-new opportunity for a Support Worker in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a client living with acquired brain injury, living in his own home. The role is part-time (15 hours a week) and is predominantly companionship-based.

We are searching for an experienced Support Worker who shares our belief that disability is not a barrier and doesn’t have to stop anyone from living their best life and enjoying new and varied experiences. Please note that a full driving license is required for this role.

Salary & Benefits:

Competitive pay rates: between £13.00 and £14.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:

10 am – 3 pm, three days a week.
Client and Role:

The client lives with an acquired brain injury and lives in his own home.
Domestic assistance, shopping, paying bills, and providing general companionship.
Driving the client to appointments.
Assisting the client with social activities.
Prompting the client with daily tasks.  
Successful Applicant:

Must possess at least 6 months of previous experience with working with clients with a physical disability.
Must have a full driving license.
Must have access to a laptop to liaise with the clinical team.
