Overview
A Cost Management consultancy are seeking a Senior Cost Manager to join an established team working on projects in the renewables sector. This is an exciting time to join the business as they embark on a period of growth in the North East. This role is primarily remote based although travel will be required to the Client’s office (North East) and to head office, and monthly site visits are required.

Established for 35 years, with offices in the UK, Ireland and USA the company have grown to become a trusted partner to the construction industry. In fact, 90% of their work is secured through repeat business.
The company work with leading blue chip international renewables companies, primarily on Onshore Windfarms, Solar Farms and Battery Storage facilities.
Role
As a Senior Cost Manager QS you will advise clients from the initial design stage, working on estimates for the project, procurement and tendering, and contract administration. You will assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies to ensure their proposals will work
* Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour and time
* Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities / pricing schedules with the project team and/or the client
* Negotiate contracts and work schedules
* Perform risk, value management and cost control during construction
* Advise on a procurement strategy
* Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
* Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes
* Produce detailed cost reports
* Value completed work, oversee bills and arrange payments
Candidates should ideally have:
A relevant Quantity Surveying degree
Pre & post contract experience
Experience in Renewables, Infrastructure or M&E
