Are you an experienced Mechanical Craftsperson? Do you consider yourself to be proactive and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Shotton?
We have a permanent Mechanical Craftsperson role available within TATA Steel's Shotton site. This role is ideal for someone who considers themselves to be hands on and is a time served experienced fitter within a heavy industrial environment.
Role: Mechanical Craftsperson - Cranes
Location: TATA Steel, Shotton Works, Shotton Records Centre, Deeside CH5 2NH
Salary: £33,477 - £36,651 + Bonus
Responsibilities:
Mechanical maintenance, refurbishment and repair of mechanical equipment within the cranes department
Undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance on overhead travelling cranes
Repairing mechanical items to a high standard
Following existing drawings
Assisting with the development of design for manufacture of spares for cranes
Repairing and refurbishing existing equipment
Undertaking work for workshops, auxiliary plant and downshifts as needed
Carrying out risk assessments and LOLERs
Conducting zone safety audits as required
Following a high level of Health and Safety at all times and promoting this to othersEssential requirements:
Driving licence and use of a car
Plant experience in a steel and construction related industry (2+ years)
Time served fitter
Strong verbal and written communication skills Desirable requirements:
NVQ level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering Benefits:
