Job Description:

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter seeking a challenging role in the North East? We're currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter position with our client, based in Gateshead and covering surrounding areas. Join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of material handling equipment for our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs on various types of material handling equipment, including conveyor systems, hydraulic lifts, and industrial machinery.
Fault Diagnosis: Utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults, implementing effective solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Component Replacement: Replace worn or damaged components, including bearings, gears, belts, and motors, following manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
Installation and Assembly: Assist with the installation and assembly of new equipment, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and functionality before commissioning.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, service reports, and parts inventory, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £33,(Apply online only).00-£37,(Apply online only).00 per year (depending on experience)
