Position Overview: We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager in overseeing the construction of a new housing development in Sunderland. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for construction to gain valuable experience and contribute to the successful delivery of a significant project.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Site Manager in coordinating and managing all on-site activities to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
Supervise and motivate site operatives and subcontractors to maintain high standards of workmanship and health and safety
Monitor progress against the project schedule and take proactive measures to address any delays or issues that may arise
Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
Assist with the procurement of materials and equipment, and ensure efficient use of resources
Collaborate with the Site Manager and other stakeholders to resolve any technical or logistical challenges
Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and site inductionsRequirements:

Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry, ideally on residential projects
Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a range of stakeholders
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software
Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certificate preferredBenefits:
