Job Title: Health and Safety Manager

Location: Droylsden, Manchester office with regular travel within the UK & hybrid working.

Are you an accomplished Health and Safety Leader with a proven track record of working in a Manufacturing/Production environment? In this role you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations across multiple sites. In this role you will act as a strategic leader for safety implementation and development, working closely with site management & the HR team to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Ensure strict adherence to health and safety policies, procedures, and performance standards on-site. Lead incident investigations and offer support to management and colleagues when needed.
Take the lead in developing, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures to align with legal obligations and industry best practices.
Conduct thorough inspections and audits, diligently monitoring recommendations and driving the implementation of improvements.
Play a pivotal role in mentoring and developing junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional growth. As part of this responsibility, you will have two direct reports in this role, offering an opportunity to shape and lead a dedicated team.Experience Required:

Demonstrated experince of working within a Health and Safety Management role within waste, recycling, or mass production/manufacturing industries is highly advantageous.
Experience with ISO maintenance and implementation ideally ISO27001 would be desirable.
The following experience is preferred: NEBOSH Holder, COTC Holder (level 3 upwards) and good knowledge of COMAH Sites and DESEAR risks.
You must be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a demonstrable track record of leadership impact.This role offers an opportunity for an experienced SHE professional to make a meaningful impact on safety and environmental practices across multiple sites.
