We are currently seeking dedicated computer science teachers in Blackburn to teach students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this position ranges between £155 and £230, depending on your experience, qualifications, and teaching level.

The chosen candidate will cover topics such as programming, computational thinking, digital literacy, and ethics in technology. The role involves creating engaging lesson plans, implementing effective teaching strategies, and providing support and guidance to students to help them develop proficiency in computer concepts and skills.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
Strong knowledge of the curriculum
Punctual and reliable
Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
Set homework and mark promptly
Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
Respond to questioning

Personal attributes:

You will have a genuine passion for teaching
Experience up to key stage 3/4
QTS/PGCE equivalent
Be flexible and committed
