We're on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join our team of educators in Blackburn for students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this position ranges between £140.00 - £220.00.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality history education to secondary school students, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for the subject. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, implementing effective teaching strategies, and providing support and guidance to students to ensure their academic excellence.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
Strong knowledge of the curriculum
Punctual and reliable
Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
Set homework and mark promptly
Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
Respond to questioning

Strong classroom management
Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience

Personal attributes:

You will have a genuine passion for teaching
Experience up to key stage 3/4
QTS/PGCE equivalent
Be flexible and committed
