Senior Quantity Surveyor - Client Side
Permanent-Competitive salary+ package

My client is very well-established property developer that is very well placed in the market. Due to an increase in property portfolio, they are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to act as a PQS/Developer's Senior QS.
My client build's and owns large scale PRS and student accommodation schemes in excess of £250million. They build high rise skyline changing projects across the UK. They would like a client-side Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their in-house property team.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Providing initial cost advice to aid in the assessment of potential PBSA/residential opportunities.
• Managing the project cost plan from inception, through contract award, to practical completion.
• Ensure risks have been considered / managed and costs are accurate to inform the funding request
• Preparing accurate / detailed cost plans to establish the project budget.
• Being commercially responsible for on-site schemes, including cost reporting, value engineering, cash flows, dispute resolution, cost control and account management.
• Overseeing the production of tender documentation and managing contractor and supply chain relationships
• Negotiating and overseeing construction contracts, retentions, bonds, warranties and other contractual documents
• Knowledge of Contraction Contracts especially JCT D&B contracts

• Agreeing final account in line with the Board approved level Requirements:

Key Requirements
• Preferably MRICS Qualified with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
• Experience working within the living sector is desirable but not essential
• Ability to build relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to travel throughout the UK with a full driving licence.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative and within a team
• Demonstrable strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills, with a willingness to participate and present in meetings at various levels.
