Description

We are seeking an experienced commercial HR leader to lead and drive the people transformation to support the businesses growth agenda and to build and lead a standalone HR function driving to a successful exit of the business over the next several years. You’ll be responsible for crafting and executing the people strategies that drive business growth and market share and position the Healthcare business as a world leader in trusted intelligence that helps organizations make better decisions.

We are looking for a high performing, transformational HR leader that has a deep appreciation for delivering employee value at the moments that matter the most in the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience as an HR Leader to a commercial leadership team as well as a broader experience of leading an HR function across HR disciplines, ideally in a PLC and PE environment.

The primary responsibilities of this role will be as follows:

- Partner with the CEO and leadership team of GD Healthcare to fully understand key business performance issues, objectives and drivers, and associated people requirements to meet current and future business challenges.

- Responsible for the planning, designing and evaluating people-related initiatives that support the immediate and future organisational strategic goals, being flexible enough to cope with changes in the organisation as and when they occur.

- Partner with the CPO of GlobalData to build HR capability for GD Healthcare that can support a standalone HR function in 12-18 months’ time.

- Working closely with the leadership team and other points of contact to increase the capability within the team/s you support – consulting with the senior leadership as well as others in the broader GD people function (Talent, Learning and Development, TA, Reward) to identify succession gaps within the business and address these to support the delivery of long-term business objectives.

- Collaboratively work with other functional areas to develop innovative, timely and cost-effective best practice solutions that can be implemented across the business. This should include recruitment and selection practices, retention approaches, performance management, absence management, etc.

- Challenge & support leaders across functions to align behaviours/attitudes that support the development of a high-performance culture that is aligned to GD Healthcare’s ambitions.

- Provide HR leadership and guidance on M&A activity with a focus on talent and cultural integration.

- Performance management – Champion high-performance culture across your client group.   Coach, influence, up-skill and encourage senior leaders to provide clear direction and line managers to provide continuous goal clarity, feedback, and development.

- Management of the people aspect of restructures, ensuring redeployment, upskilling, and redundancies are run according to policy and best practice and completed within timescales, budget and legislation. Provide advice to Senior Stakeholders as appropriate.

- Partner with the GD HR advisory team to help with implementation and execution of people related activities.

- Own and manage the workforce plan for the business, ensuring that the plan is aligned to the business outcomes.

- Differentiate GD Healthcare by enhancing the employee experience and defining the employee value proposition.

- Cultivate a culture of relentless ambition, pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo.

- To lead with and develop an environment of curiosity, courage and collaboration.

Competencies

- Significant HR management experience with a proven track record in developing and implementing innovative people management solutions at an operational, tactical, and strategic level.

- Vital change leadership experience. Will need to design frameworks, influence, and challenge at senior level, to identify and drive through organisational change strategies in various scenarios. Individuals will need to talk through where he/she has developed and delivered true strategic OD projects that have created significant business change from a financial and efficiency perspective.

- Established experience in coaching and developing leaders.

- Highly competent with data and able to analyse people metrics and articulate findings to management in a concise, clear manner.

- Demonstrable experience of workforce planning. Individuals will need to articulate how and where they have worked with peers and leadership teams to put forward and influence a people management strategy. 

- Experience of M&A transactions essential.

- Experience of working within a PE environment desirable.

- Strong communications skills, including the ability to listen to the needs of others.

- Strong strategic skills and the ability to act as a visionary for a company.

- Strong business and financial skills, including financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting.

- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask.
