Quantity Surveyor

We Build Recruitment are on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor based in or around Manchester to join a growing Fitout and Refurbishment company.

Projects are generally commercial and can include a variety of offices, schools/colleges or even labs.

The salary is negotiable and dependant on experience. Ideally, they’re looking for someone with a vast experience, that in time would be open to training junior surveyors. They’re expecting you to be able to work under your own steam. For this the salary is at £75,000 with bonuses per project and private healthcare.

Job Role:

* Manage projects through the entire project lifecycle.

* Prepare estimates, cost plans and tender documentation using various forms of measurement and contracts.

* Be comfortable measuring schedules of works and bills of quantities/activity schedule production.

* Manage and prepare both tender and contract documentation.

* Support and input into procurement and tendering processes and evaluation/award of contracts.

* Attend client and progress meetings and provide input and support to the project.

* Price and prepare financial reports and cashflow forecasts throughout the duration of contracts and provide general post contract cost management and control.

* Provide input into the financial aspects of change management.

* Carry out re-measurement of quantities with contractors if necessary and prepare and agree final accounts and claims. Prepare final accounts for clients that are suitable for audit.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor

* You must have prior experience with fitout packages

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

* Strong time management skills to ensure you meet agreed deadlines

* Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite
