Award winning international engineering consultancy seeking to employ project management talent, who have experience of working in the rail industry, in the role of Scheme Project Manager based in either Manchester or Leeds.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for the delivery of low complex projects or parts of complex projects in a safe & environmentally responsible manner to time, cost and quality standards.
Manage multi-disciplinary teams including commercial, programme controls, engineering, and others to identify solutions to client requirements and establish a robust baseline plan.
Support Senior Consultants in project reporting to the programme board.
Identify project risks and opportunities, updating project registers and implementing mitigation measures.
Hold project reviews with multiple stakeholders through the project lifecycle and provide evaluations of progress against the baseline.
Experience of stakeholder management and understanding the levels of influence and interests stakeholders have on projects.
Administer supply chain contracts, providing forecasts and effectively managing change.

Job Requirements:

Rail industry experience is essential
Member of the Association of Project Management (or equivalent), or actively working towards membership.
An academic degree or equivalent educational background.
Proven track record in delivering projects to pre-defined standards of time, cost, and quality.
Experience in implementing recognised project management methodologies.
Skilled in contract administration within project contexts.
Proficient in using project scheduling tools (P6, MSP). Strong financial management skills.
