Senior Project Manager

Senior Project Manager/ £60-£65,000 + Car Allowance / Manchester
We Build Recruitment are on the lookout for a Senior Project Manager based in the North West that preferably comes from an MEP background and is experienced in Infrastructure and data centres.
You’ll be joining a rapidly expanding business, helping them to keep up to speed with the incoming enquiries and outgoing tenders as they continue to expand.
With this role it’s preferable that you’ve had experience being the main or principle contractor but not necessary. If you tick all the boxes then the salary will go up to £65,000 however that is DOE. If you do hit all the boxes, then there could be a conversation of slightly higher too.
Job Role:
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality and standards.
* Ensure risks are identified, reported, managed and mitigation measures are put in place.
* To adopt a right first-time ethos with all aspects of the installation.
* To maintain accurate commercial and progress reporting on a regular basis
* To directly manage the procurement of the supply chain be that sub-contractors or suppliers and to fully ingratiate sub-contractors & suppliers into the requirements of the project
* Responsible for overseeing the commissioning and witnessing of all systems.
* To develop an understanding of our clients’ needs and ensure accurate and factual communications with the client.
* Conduct regular reviews of drawings/document control on site, ensuring the correct versions are being used and maintained
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience working on Data Centre projects or working within similar critical or technical environments.
* Previous Senior project management experience
* Knowledge of M&E services including commissioning.
* Understanding of Earned Value Management principles
* Evidence of commercial control and understanding of P&L
* Fully competent use of Word/Outlook/ Excel and Microsoft Project is required for this role
* SMSTS / Black CSCS
* HNC/HND or Degree preferable
