Data Analyst X 2 - Manchester

Our Manchester client is looking for two Data Analysts to join our friendly and diverse team. Your role will involve turning data into insightful analysis and models to drive business growth. You will help develop customer analysis, provide insights into performance, and identify opportunities for strategic improvements.

Key Responsibilities: 

Analyse and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights
Develop statistical models and perform data mining techniques to support business decisions
Work closely with various teams across the organization to understand their data needs and provide appropriate solutions
Create dashboards and reports to communicate analysis findings to stakeholders effectively
Continuously monitor and assess data quality, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting
Stay updated on industry developments and best practices in data analysis, suggesting improvements as necessary

Requirements:

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Demonstrate solid experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar capacity
Possess a profound comprehension of database structures, data manipulation techniques, and analytical tools
Proficient in SQL, Excel, Tableau
Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct in-depth research on business challenges
Generate reports from both structured and unstructured data in our Data Warehouse and Data Lake
Assist in regulatory and compliance tasks by creating detailed reports
Develop, prototype, and maintain reports in Power BI utilizing SQL and DAX
Engage in an Agile Kanban workflow, employing source control for code review, testing, and deployment
Coordinate with product teams to strategize and prioritize requests, review requirements, and ensure successful results
Utilise visualisations to gauge and oversee strategies, initiatives, product advancements, and risk management
Offer insightful commentary to guide decision-makers in acting on discoveries

Skills and Experience Needed:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, data science, business intelligence).
Proficient in SQL, DAX, and advanced Excel.
Skilled in visualization tools such as Cognos, SSRS, Power BI, or Business Objects.
Statistical solid and problem-solving acumen, showcasing deductive and inquisitive thinking.
Business acumen, particularly in financial services.
Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
Proficiency in effective collaboration with peers.
Approach development and business intelligence with a positive, enthusiastic, and methodical mindset.
