Title: Head of Commercial Finance
Reporting to: CFO
Morgan McKinley is proud to be working in partnership with a dynamic engineering/manufacturing business to recruit a Head of Commercial Finance.
As the Head of Commercial Finance you will be a commercially focused individual, able to influence at Board level. You will be able to live the company values while delivering to a high standard with energy and pace.
Responsibilities:
Business partner the Board
Ensure a robust forecast is in place by monitoring and challenging the forecast as well as investigating variances through to conclusion
Ensure the team are providing reporting, analysis and insight to explain the underlying variances against budget and forecast
Identify and follow risks and opportunities
Provide direction to the Senior Leadership Teams to improve performance, support cost control and simplification
Build, manage, track and evaluate projects
Undertake and drive insightful analysis of all KPI's
Manage and develop a small but strong qualified finance team
Establish effective relationships with all members of the senior management team and develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the business
Constantly strive to simplify processes while maintaining adequate controls
Requirements:
A fully qualified accountant ideally with sector experience across either engineering, manufacturing or technology
Strong commercial finance background
A strong communicator who is comfortable challenging the status quo
Strong leadership and motivation of people
Able to interpret and communicate financial issues to non-finance stakeholders
Ability to roll sleeves up and get into the detail when required

Salary & Benefits
The role of Head of Commercial Finance has a range of £100,000 - £120,000, plus excellent benefits.
