We are working with a successful financial services organisation in Manchester to recruit for a Paraplanner to join their growing business.

Description

As Paraplanner, you will be responsible for producing suitability reports for clients, carrying out technical research and analysis for the production of detailed client facing reports, making recommendations to advisers. The collection, analysis and presentation of this data is carried out on behalf of its advisers.

The Paraplanner is also responsible for:

Oversight of work carried out by administrators, writing reports whilst gaining a good understanding of the advisory process so they can challenge and influence to find the right solution
Analysis of existing assets to identify improvement of client outcomes through offering of alternative products
Development and addition to existing processes to improve efficiencies of the team
Providing analysis, detailed research of funds and providers, carry out calculations, build cashflow, report writing and product recommendations for presentation to clients and/or reports for sending to clients
Ensuring all advice provided is within the company's compliance framework
Providing technical support for advisers and sales support teams
Questioning and challenging proposed solutions by using financial planning knowledge
Drafting and trading workflows off the back of the recommendations being made in the suitability report
Ensuring quality assessments have been carried out
Updating on client and portfolio data is accurate in the system
Managing own workflow positions, committing to continuous personal development, and gaining a full understanding of procedures, and aware of any changes to compliance or other regulatory requirements are knownProfile

The successful applicant for this role must have the following skills and experience:

Ideally diploma qualified (level 4), or those studying towards will also be considered
Strong knowledge of financial services
Excellent understanding of financial products and data required by Paraplanners and advisers to analyse ongoing suitability for clients
Able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and also within defined business processes
Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships with stakeholders
Ability to produce detailed and accurate work all the time
Strong systems knowledge and understand of Microsoft Excel, Intelligent Office, FE Analytics
