Overview: We are seeking a skilled Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge and experience in handling residential property transactions from start to finish. As a pivotal member of our firm, you will manage a caseload independently, providing exceptional service to our clients while ensuring transactions progress smoothly and efficiently. You will also deal with a varied caseload including freehold/leasehold sales, purchase, remortgages and transfer of equity

Key Responsibilities:

1. Case Management: Oversee a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.

2. Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and guidance throughout the conveyancing process.

3. Legal Documentation: Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, leases, and transfer deeds with precision and attention to detail.

4. Title Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into property titles, identifying any legal issues or restrictions that may impact the transaction.

5. Searches and Enquiries: Coordinate property searches and respond to enquiries from clients, solicitors, and relevant parties in a timely manner.

6. Financial Transactions: Manage financial aspects of transactions, including the calculation and processing of completion funds, stamp duty land tax (SDLT), and disbursements.

7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including anti-money laundering (AML) and data protection requirements.

8. Collaboration: Liaise with other departments within the firm, including colleagues in conveyancing, litigation, and finance, to facilitate seamless client service and resolve complex issues.

9. Professional Development: Stay abreast of changes in conveyancing law and practice through ongoing training and professional development activities.

10. Quality Assurance: Uphold the firm's standards of excellence in service delivery, demonstrating accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism in all aspects of work.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience (3 years) working in residential conveyancing, with a track record of successfully managing a high-volume caseload.

2. Strong understanding of conveyancing procedures, property law, and relevant legislation in the residential sector.

3. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

4. Detail-oriented approach with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

5. Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.

7. Commitment to delivering outstanding client service and maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct.

8. Membership of relevant professional bodies or associations (e.g., Law Society, Council for Licensed Conveyancers) is desirable.
