Night Residential Support Worker - Manchester

Are you a passionate, dedicated Residential Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Night Residential Support Worker to join a team based in Manchester.

Umbrella Rate: £17.14 per hour

Duration: 3 to 6 months 

Hours: Rota basis including weekends and bank holidays – 21.45 to 07.45, 14 nights over a 4 week period , 2 nights first week, 5 nights the following week – 35 hrs/week – Office based

Night Residential Support Worker role: Full JD Available

Support Looked After Children who have complex needs
Provide a safe, warm, caring and stable environment for the children
Participate in the assessment of each child’s/young person’s needs and regular reviewing individual care plans/programmes
Monitor, evaluate and review assessments as required determining suitable adjustments to ensure that service users are able to achieve their agreed goals
Manage existing and future risks through assessment, and creating plans which ensure the individual needs of service users are appropriately considered
Provide appropriate emotional support and guidance to the young people
Ensure that the wishes and feelings of children/people are taken into account in all matters relating to their daily care
Ensure the welfare of young people is promoted, that they are protected from abuse and that an appropriate response is made to any allegation or suspicion of abuse or neglect
Encourage and motivate young people to develop interests and leisure activities which can be sustained in the family home
Encourage individuals to accept responsibility for their self-care, personal growth and development appropriate to their age
Ensure that good health is promoted and that the health needs of young people are identified, and services provided to meet these needs
Develop strong, trusting working relationships
Liaise and work effectively with colleagues, other agencies and service users in the interests of young people
Maintain appropriate records on each child/young person and prepare written reports
Essential Requirements

UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
Diploma/ NVQ Level 3 in working with Children and Young People in Residential Care or equivalent or Social Work/ Youth Work qualification
PI (physical intervention) training dated within the last 2 years
Recent experience of at least 1 year working with Children and Young People aged 11 – 18 years
Must be resilient, emotionally and physically fit
You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service
