I am looking for a Support Worker to join a fantastic charity based in Sale. The role comes with a great salary, good benefits and the chance for future career progression.
The role is based in a residential service that provides support to people with a range of complex needs including learning disabilities. There is also a day centre provision and community based care so your job role will be interesting, varied and rewarding.
The main duties of the role include:
* Completion of health care tasks to a high standard.
* Communication effectively with a range of people.
* Provide support to the team and work well with other staff members.
* Provide care and support to vulnerable people with complex needs. This may include some personal care.
* Promote independent living and assist with daily tasks.
* Carry out all health care procedures in line the persons support plan.
* Assume shift leader responsibilities when directed and fulfil these responsibilities fully in line with the competency assessment framework.
To be considered for this role you will need the following:
* Basic IT skills – Microsoft Word & Email
* Some experience of caring and supporting for vulnerable people
* Commitment to all training relevant to the role including having or working towards a level 2 or 3 NVQ
* Flexibility in covering shifts
* Effective communication skills
