Our client is currently seeking a specifications technologist based in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience of writing specifications for all the major retailers.

Position Overview
The specification technologist plays a crucial role within the organisation, managing packaging projects and supporting the Senior packaging technologist in their day-to-day activities. The contributions of the packaging technologist are instrumental in ensuring the final product's quality, as packaging technology is vital in preserving the perfect condition of our client's products.
Responsibilities
* Create manage and maintain specifications for raw materials packaging and finished product to the required standard.
* Completing and approving customer specifications, Pack copies and QAS’s to their required standard in a timely manner.
* Have full working knowledge and key user of multiple customer portals including MCreate Erudus and Nutricalc to generate nutritional information for BOP etc. Maintain product quality safety and labelling.
* Review product recipes. Manage and complete all customer requests and supplier approval. Allergen listings, Spreadsheets, Horizon scanning for information.
* Coordinate all new information for new product specifications, transferring information into the factory and customer and customer requirements.
* Supplying when requested packaging specifications to aid with customer new line forms. Ensuring that all packaging products meet set requirements and specifications.
