Azure DevOps Engineer
Our most trusted partner, a leading financial services provider is currently hiring an Azure DevOps Engineer who has strong experience in Azure/CI/CD as our client moves their legacy IT estate into the cloud. This is an exciting/challenging position where the chosen candidate will be the SME ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our client's operations. Our client is looking to pay a basic salary between £65,000 to £75,000 + 15% bonus with a phenomenal benefits package to be based in Chatham or Wolverhampton 3 x PW.
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate strong capabilities in Azure DevOps methodologies with the ability to implement CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the data engineering team.
Core responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for data projects, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop appropriate DevOps solutions.
Mentor and provide training to junior team members on DevOps practices, tools, and techniques.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline development workflows.
Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to ensure the reliability and availability of data pipelines and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement fixes, and ensure timely resolution of technical challenges.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps and data engineering.
Document processes, configurations, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability of data infrastructure and pipelines.
Key technical skill-set:
Recent experience in hands-on delivery of DevOps, Engineering, Solution Design, and Cloud Architecture is essential
Strong capabilities in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) experience and knowledge are essential
Significant experience in Creating, managing, and interacting with GIT repositories is essential
Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Azure Active Directory, App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse, and Azure Virtual Machines are essential
Relevant qualification in Azure is a must-have
Minimum of 3 years within a DevOps SME position.
Demonstrable experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is desirable
