Payroll Manager - Greater Manchester - £40,000

Title: Payroll Manager
Location: Oldham
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (plus 20% bonus)

We are urgently seeking a strong payroll professional to join an exciting organisation in the Greater Manchester area. 
What you'll do: 
Supervising the payroll process for a workforce exceeding 1000+ employees.
Guarantee precision across various pay components including regular wages, overtime, bonuses, and additional compensations.
Preparing and filing payroll tax returns (P60s and P11Ds) with meticulous attention to detail to prevent penalties.
Overseeing the recruitment, training, and supervision of payroll personnel, offering guidance and mentorship.
Coordinating workload distribution, prioritizing tasks, and enforcing deadlines to achieve operational objectives.
Conducting performance assessments and delivering constructive feedback to improve team performance and efficiency. What you'll bring:
Either CIPP Qualified or actively pursuing a recognized qualification with extensive payroll experience.
Proficiency in payroll software systems to facilitate efficient data management and report generation.
Thorough understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and PAYE procedures.
Strong mathematical skills and a sharp eye for detail to ensure data accuracy.
Expertise in maintaining organized payroll records for auditing and reporting purposes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to accurately address inquiries.
Proactive ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including managing spreadsheets, pivot tables, and utilizing VLookup functions.
