About the School

Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced, motivated and resilient Teaching Assistant to support students in a Primary Mainstream school in Preston, PR1.

Although the school is a mainstream primary, there are a large amount of children with EHCP's requiring 1:1 support.

Located in PR1, the school is easily accessed by public transport and has onsite parking available.

The position is open to all experienced those you have a background in youth work, sports coaching, support work, challenging behaviour, SEN or have any other experience of mentoring children. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

Minimum rate of pay - £85 per day
Hours - 8:30 am - 4:00pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience with SEN children and challenging behaviour.
LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
