We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our team in Preston, supporting students in KS3 and KS4. The daily pay rate for this role ranges from £155 to £230, depending on your experience, qualifications, and teaching level.

In this role, the selected candidate will be leading lab experiments, evaluating student progress, and offering constructive feedback for their learning. Collaborating with colleagues to plan curriculum delivery is crucial. You'll also communicate with parents about student progress and engage in professional development to improve teaching skills.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
Strong knowledge of the curriculum
Punctual and reliable
Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
Set homework and mark promptly
Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
Respond to questioning
Supervise and support students in laboratory experiments and research projects.

Personal attributes:

You will have a genuine passion for teaching
Experience up to key stage 3/4
QTS/PGCE equivalent
Be flexible and committed
