Harrison Bridge is pleased to be partnering with a forward thinking, business energy business to hire an Operations Director.

THE ROLE

To support their growth aspirations, our client has created a new Operations Director role for their leadership team. This is a key hire to help accelerate its growth trajectory while maintaining a focus on operational excellence and technology. In this role, you will create and implement an operational strategy from the ground up that supports the overall strategic objectives.

Their aspiration is to be highly automated and technology-led. They are already benefiting from the use of machine learning and data analytics. You will support this use to encourage innovation that will allow them to grow without significantly adding to their cost base.

With a ‘completer finisher’ profile, you will help the leadership team establish robust processes, systems, reporting, and workflows that enhance operational efficiency and drive customer satisfaction. You will provide strategic guidance and insights derived from operational data. In addition, you will quickly build trust and credibility amongst your peers and direct reports.

Other priorities will include the provision of accurate billing, ensuring query management is resolved against service level agreements and identify fixes for any process or technology issues. You will also spend approximately 25% of your time supporting the business finish key internal projects.

With a highly competent team spanning industry operations, customer service, and debt management, the Operations Director will be a strong people-centric leader able to mentor, coach a capable team to create a high-performing function.

Experience/Skills Required

Suitable candidates MUST have the following skills, experience and traits in order to be considered. Candidates that do not have this experience will be rejected.

* Experienced in creating and delivering an operational strategy from the ground up

* Experience of helping a business scale and implementing robust processes, systems and procedures that are fit for growth

* Delivered excellent customer service and experience of creating a digital journey

* Experience of managing business change and transformation in a high growth / scale environment

* A hands on people centric leader. Experience of developing high performing and engaged teams as well as ability to manage remote teams

* Tech Savvy / possesses a high degree of IT literacy

* Has a Completer Finisher profile and possesses an attention to detail. Has good organisational and administrative skills

* Ability to produce and interpret large amounts of data (highly desirable)

* Self starter, with the ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with lots of competing priorities

You will have worked in a non-corporate, agile environments. This may include areas such as: Energy supply / telecoms / financial services / water supply or other technology / digital only brands
