Axon Moore delighted to be partnering with a PE-backed business in Preston experiencing rapid growth as they recruit an experienced Credit Controller to take on a newly created, end-to-end role and take full ownership for their ledger. As such, this fantastic opportunity is well suited to established Credit Controllers looking to add value, implement processes and take on a fully autonomous role.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Ensure timely collection of customer receipts in line with agreed payment terms
Accurate posting of receipts to assist with bank reconciliation process
Ensuring credit limits and customer payment terms remain accurate on the system
Building rapport with key customers to ensure cash collection targets are met
Ensure all month end queries are cleared in a timely manner
Regular review of credit reports and customer payment performance to ensure customer credit limits maintained
Liaising with Group legal function where relevant to mitigate exposure to bad debt
Collaborate with sales teams to ensure timely resolution of customer queries
Review of customer credit applications to assess creditworthiness of potential new accounts
Providing reports on accounts receivable analysis and potential exposure to overdue balances
Required Experience and Skills:

At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Able to build good working relationships
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good organisational and time-keeping skills
High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role
Good IT and MS Excel skills
