Labelling Operative

Hours: Monday - Friday, rotating weekly shifts:

06:00 - 14:00
14:00 - 22:00
Rate of pay as a Labelling Operative: £11.44 per hour

Job Summary: The Labelling Operative plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our factory's labeling process. This position involves fulfilling label orders, managing requests for labels, conducting regular stocktaking, and assisting with product design specifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to rotating shift schedules.

Responsibilities as a Labelling Operative:

Label Fulfillment:

Complete label orders for the factory according to production schedules and quality standards.
Ensure accurate labeling of products, adhering to specifications and requirements.

Request Management:

Handle additional requests for labels, including addressing shortages and substitutions promptly and accurately.

Inventory Management:

Conduct daily/weekly stocktaking of labels to maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies.
Communicate inventory levels effectively to relevant stakeholders.

Product Design Support:

Assist in the creation of new product designs and specifications as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure label designs meet regulatory and branding standards.

Shift Rotation:

Rotate between morning (06:00 - 14:00) and afternoon (14:00 - 22:00) shifts on a weekly basis.
Maintain flexibility to accommodate changing production demands.

General Support:

Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the labeling process and overall factory activities.

Qualifications needed for a Labelling Operative:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in labeling tasks.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and stakeholders.
Flexibility to adapt to rotating shift schedules.
Basic computer skills for label printing and inventory management systems.
