One of our partnership SEN schools in Cheadle are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team!

The school caters for young adults with complex and severe learning needs including Autism, Hearing and visual impairments and physical disabilities.

The school are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant that has:

Experience working with children and young adults with SEN in a care or education setting (desirable, not essential)
A confident attitude and willingness to learn
A calm and sensitive personality that can de-escalate potentially difficult situations
Genuine interest and enthusiasm to work with young people with Special Educational needs
In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support the class teacher in the delivery of sensory activities and engaging lessons
Assist in the assessment of children’s learning and development
Create a safe and fun learning environment for children to achieve their full potential
Support children to become more independent and learn valuable life skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
