Calibre Search are working closely with an ambitious Independent Building Consultancy now looking to actively recruit a new Building Surveyor to join them based in the lovely old town part of Stockport.
After seeing quite an increase in varied workload, they require an accomplished Building Surveyor who is working towards their APC (recently helped one of their surveyors pass their APC first time!) or perhaps more Senior looking for more responsibility. You will be part of a social, small team who all support each other and approach their work with a more relaxed approach which all their staff benefit a lot from.
In terms of the work itself, they have some major refurbishments and fit out work going on as well as other various industrial sheds, residential, and retail properties which you will be offering all the core building surveying skills in involving schedule of conditions, planned maintenance, dilapidation work all the way through to contract admin/design specification.
Ideally, you will be RICS degree qualified in building surveying with a few years under your belt already having been exposed to delivering projects as well as confident in your core Building Surveying work.
Brilliant position if you like the idea of joining a small team who all support each other, are down to earth and promote a work culture and environment which has far less red tape and a corporate feel to it.
Requirements
Undertaking building surveys, site inspections and measured surveys
Drafting plans/sections/elevations on computer aided design software
Preparation of Schedules of Work and Specifications for all types of maintenance and construction projects
Delivery of contract administration services
Offer a high standard of professional services (dilaps, defect analysis etc)
Be personable and presentable
