We are seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias) to work for a manufacturing company in Stockport.
Hours of work - 4 days a week ,10 hours, 6am - 4pm.
Must be Flexible, Shutdowns required 5 day working.
The candidate will have a day off in the week but needs to be flexible to suit the work load of the production and engineering departments. Overtime available when required.
The Role
• To support and develop a cost effective planned maintenance program
• Carrying out planned as well as reactive maintenance across a variety of plant machinery.
• To undertake the installation of new or replacement machinery using cost effective resources.
• Taking part in continuous improvement activities, helping to create new ideas and better solutions to create ever improving efficiencies
• To ensure the company has an effective spares policy to provide business continuity.
• To ensure legal compliance with latest regulations and report on any deficiencies or potential issues.
• Training & recruitment assistance with new employees to impart the culture and values.
• Mentoring & coaching of colleagues.
• Demonstrate the values of the organization
• Arrange cover/deputize during holidays/sickness.
• Flexible working hours must be adopted in order to complete necessary work for production to ensure we meet customer demands and requirements.
• Ensure all areas of Engineering (workshops, stores, etc.) are clear and tidy disposing of scrap items.
• Ensure all parts removed or utilized as part of reactive or planned jobs are clearly recorded and captured using systems and approach agreed within the department
• Offer and deliver continuous technical support, both to production and the engineering team, in order to provide accurate and positive solutions to day-to-day engineering issues.
• Assist in the advance planning of maintenance, modification and fault rectification work.
Skills Required:
• Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship
• HNC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• Experienced in both mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.
• Excellent electrical maintenance skills including a working knowledge of PLC’s and control systems
• Experienced with robotics (6axis/XY)
• Excellent fitting skills
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Power Press machinery (150t)(Training given)
• Technical knowledge of manufacturing production processes.
