As a Distribution Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating the distribution of large donations of perishable and short-coded items to our network partners in a timely, fair, and equitable manner.   
What you’ll do in your role:  
Process distribution of special or hard-to-move products due to large quantities and/or perishable nature, e. g., produce, dairy, juices, and close-coded product. 
Communicate frequently with other departments regarding incoming product. 
Collaborate with other team members on selection of product for community distributions. 
Coordinate with mobile pantries, community distribution, and sites to move perishable products as needed. 
Track distribution of special products as allocated to our network partners until they are received and ensure data entry is completed in a timely manner. 
Assist with development and implementation of a process and procedure to move perishable items quickly through distribution system to prevent loss of viable product. 
Coordinate with the transportation team to schedule deliveries when needed.

What you’ll need to be successful in this role:    
High School Diploma or eight years of relevant work experience may be substituted for degree.  
Previous experience in a warehouse distribution center is required.  
Technical aptitude (familiarity with Microsoft O365, Microsoft Teams and Chromebook platform) with the ability to learn new applications quickly. 
Positive, can-do attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work well on a team and learn new concepts quickly.
