Job Title: Band 4 Administrator

Duration: Temporary position, 6 weeks initially with possibility of extension

Hours: Full Time. Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: £12.86 per hour.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Band 4 Administrator who will provide administrative and secretarial support to Anaesthetics and Critical Care service group. The post holder will be responsible for the organisation and provision of day to day services within the Department of Clinical Anaesthesia.

Duties include:

* Responsible for the day to day running of the Department, including the maintenance of an accurate filing system, general typing duties, organisation and up-keep of the office.

* Arranging meetings, circulation of agendas and minutes, drafting minutes and initiating follow up actions.

* Dealing with all incoming correspondence and drafting replies when appropriate.

* Responsible for providing the junior medical rotas to ensure that annual and study leave is processed to ensure cover at all times and to ensure that hours worked are within the Regulations.

* Prepare requisition and order supplies.

* Maintaining and processing medical staff amendment forms, annual leave, study leave and sick leave.

* To return/retrieve patient charts to/from medical records or designated filing areas.

* To process donations made to the Department.

* To undertake any other duties as may be assigned.

You will need:

* HNC/HND or equivalent / higher qualification in an administrative related field AND 1 years’ experience in a clerical/administrative role OR 4 GCSEs Grades A-C including English and Maths or equivalent AND 2 years’ experience in an administrative role OR 3 years’ experience in a administrative role.

* Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

Other essential criteria:

* Effective communication skills.

* Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to use your own initiative.

* Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines using effective planning and organisational skills.

* Ability to identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
