Salary: £23,400 per year, pro rata + Benefits 
Hours: up to 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a shift rota basis

We are on the lookout for Support Workers who are calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love. 

Furthermore, as Support Worker you will be responsible for: 

Daily activities such as personal care; laundry; meal preparation; medication and administration
Getting to know the people you will care for and help them to live the life they want to live
Taking personal responsibility for the quality of care and assistance delivered to the people you will care for
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people you will take care of
Helping the people you will assist plan towards and achieve both short and long term aims
Planning and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities 
Assisting the people, you will assist to manage their personal affairs making, preparing for, and attending any appointments
Ensuring the people, you will assist and their families, are treated with respect, dignity, and equality
To work in accordance with SeeAbility’s valuesWe are looking for someone who can devote to 37.5 hours per week and are willing to work on a shift rota basis, covering mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Who will you be supporting?
At Jacobs Close you will work as a team to provide support for a young adult with learning disability, autism, nutrition needs and behaviour that may be challenging. As a support worker your contribution will be invaluable.
 
The gentleman you will be supporting loves horse riding and spending time with his family. You have to be a driver  with Full UK Driving License for this role in order to be able to drive the person we support at his appointments to Hydrotherapy pool and sensory room.

Responsibilities

Providing direct support when displaying behaviours to enable him to participate in a wide range of activities
Ensure good working practice including understanding and awareness of health and safety
To promote independence and develop skills whilst assisting with all tasks necessary to ensure positive life experiences
To work positively with other agencies, parents, carers, and other services to ensure person-centred care for person we support
Develop and contribute to the maintenance of  records and support plans and function as a Key worker when required
To support our gentleman to maintain a clean-living environment appropriate to meet his individual needs
To participate in regular and ongoing training relevant to everyone's needs
