Our client is a Tier 1 Main Contractor, specialising in delivering high-profile construction projects across various sectors.

Position Overview: They are searching for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team based out of Aberdeen. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors to support the successful delivery of projects while ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to budgetary requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
Conduct cost analysis for materials, labour, and equipment to ensure accurate project costing.
Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
Collaborate with project teams to monitor and control project costs throughout the construction lifecycle.
Assist in the preparation of interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Conduct site visits and measurements to verify work completed and assess progress against contractual requirements.
Support in the identification and resolution of contractual issues and claims.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance professional development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is advantageous.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft) is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
