Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the provision and maintenance of safe, operable, and cost-effective rotating equipment to meet site requirements.
Prioritize and manage machinery-related projects, enhancing plant reliability and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including operations and mechanical personnel to optimize equipment performance.
Specify and approve new rotating equipment adhering to industry and corporate standards.
Conduct technical training sessions for operations and mechanical teams to elevate their proficiency with rotating equipment.
Ensure quality assurance and control on both onsite and offsite equipment repairs.
Oversee vendor activities related to major machine repairs, ensuring compliance with standards.
Regularly assess the performance of rotating equipment, initiating improvements.
Provide critical support during plant start-ups, shutdowns, and operational disturbances.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in managing industrial rotating equipment within chemical or refinery sectors.
Expert knowledge of various compressors, pumps, fans, and blowers.
Familiarity with key industry standards such as API, ASME, and PIP.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Rotating Equipment.
