Responsibilities:
• Lead the commissioning activities for transformers, feeder protection, and quad boosters within 400kV substations.
• Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of protection relays, transformers, quad boosters, and associated control systems.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to a team of commissioning engineers, ensuring all activities meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues encountered during the commissioning phase, working closely with engineering teams and contractors.
• Prepare detailed commissioning documentation, including test reports, procedures, and commissioning records.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to project timelines.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
Requirements:
• 3-5 years of experience in commissioning protection and control systems in high-voltage substation projects, with a focus on 400kV systems.
• Strong proficiency in commissioning transformers, feeder protection systems, and quad boosters.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• SSEN CAT 1-3 authorisations preferable.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site as required
