Salary: £28K-£31K + overtime + profit share

My client are a well established business that specialises in the production and installation of large format branding graphics and signage and is looking for an enthusiastic individual, to join their busy team.

Based in Edinburgh, they work with some fantastic clients including many national and global brands.

They are looking for an enthusiastic Graphic technician to join their existing team. The role demands working to a very high standard and to given deadlines. The ideal candidate will have experience in large format digital printing, file set-up and print finishing. You will need to have a great attitude to work, a real attention to detail, be able to work within a team, and be flexible so as to fulfil the nature of our clients’ needs. Duties and Responsibilities:

* File set-up, ripping and operation of large format digital printers, including Mimaki, Roland and Vutek. Both roll and flatbed.

* Assist in print finishing operations inc mounting and laminating.

* Liaise with Print Manager and other team members.

* Take responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.

* Assist in identifying, and participate in, required training of self and others.

* Undertake regular stock checks of inks and substrates.

* Ensure that all equipment is routinely checked for safety, in line with legislation

* Provide polite, efficient interaction with clients and all others, at all times.

* Be flexible with start and finish times to enable the company to deliver jobs effectively

* Be available for overtime occasional weekend working.

* To assist members of the management team and the in-house production staff as required

Skills required for the role:

* Thorough knowledge of digital print techniques

* Excellent attention to detail

* Good problem solving skills and ‘can-do’ attitude

* The ability to communicate effectively and contribute as part of a team

* Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

* Experience of print finishing and installation methods

* Customer friendly and quality orientated individual

* Willingness to learn and continuously improve

* Knowledge of Health & Safety working practices

* Adaptable and flexible towards working hours

Experience:

Ideally they would like someone with at least 2 years experience in a reprographics or large format printing.
