Our client, who is a well-established commercial linen-hire and laundry business, is seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join their team at their state-of-the-art production facility in Workington.

Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Fitter you'll play a vital role in our Maintenance Department, collaborating closely with Multiskilled Engineers and the Engineering Manager.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Monitoring and maintaining equipment, including large-scale industrial washing, drying, and ironing machines.
Exploring faults, executing repairs, and providing support during emergency breakdowns.
Conducting mechanical maintenance in line with planned schedules.
Ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety regulations at all times.

Essential Qualifications:

Experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

HNC and/or HND in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
Previous experience in an industrial production environment.
Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance and Repair.
