Exciting Career Opportunity: Join Our Client as a Sub Agent!

Are you ready to make a significant impact on major Civil Engineering projects? Our client, a leading principal contractor, is seeking a dedicated Sub Agent to join their dynamic team in Glasgow City Centre on a permanent basis to delivering a major Civil Engineering.

Our client is at the forefront of delivering diverse Civil Engineering projects in collaboration with Transport Scotland.  From bridge repairs to advanced geotechnical and structural maintenance schemes, they are committed to excellence in maintenance, asset management, winter maintenance, and incident response across Scotland's strategic road network.

Your Role:

As a Sub Agent, you'll be instrumental in ensuring project success by collaborating closely with design consultants, supply chain partners, and clients. Your responsibilities will include providing engineering expertise, interpreting specifications, managing on-site teams, and upholding the highest standards in health and safety, quality, and environmental impact.

What You'll Do:

Provide engineering expertise and support
Interpret drawings and specifications accurately
Supervise and mentor on-site teams
Ensure proper induction and competency of staff and subcontractors
Produce accurate 'as built' information
Promote cost-conscious attitudes and efficient resource utilisation
Prepare reports and contribute to project commercial aspects
Coordinate with general foremen for work preparation and resource availability
Procure necessary materials, sub-contracts, and plant in a timely manner
Lead weekly site meetings and promote digitalization and welfare
Manage quality systems including internal systems and Temporary Works design
What our client is looking for:

Degree - HND/HNC in Engineering or equivalent
CSCS Level certification
Demonstrable experience as a Sub Agent in civil engineering sector
Previous experience working for a main contractor within the civil engineering sector
Effective communication and leadership skills
Previous experience in Temporary Works Coordination
Appointed Person qualification is desirable
Qualified First Aider
