Job Title: CAD Designer

The Company:
My client is a one of the UK's leading companies specialising in noise control and acoustic solutions, with national coverage. They are renowned in their field, having over 50 years experience offering services such as architectural acoustics, environmental noise assessments, and vibration isolation. The company have recently completed projects throughout the construction industry including, residential, industrial, and sport and leisure. They are rapidly expanding and seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join their busy design team at their head office, in Hertford.
As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for site surveying, producing drawings, and coordinating the design of projects in the UK and Europe. The role will offer the exciting opportunity to travel abroad for work with the occasional overnight stay, all travel expenses paid for.
Role responsibilities include:
Carrying out dimensional site surveys on exciting projects throughout the UK and occasionally in Europe.
Attending interesting design meetings, based either on site or online.
Coordinating designs with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Producing detailed manufacturing and installation drawings, general arrangement drawings, and as-built drawings.
The opportunity to work independently as well as part of the supportive design team.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 10 years' experience in the construction industry, preferably in the HVAC, mechanical, or structural steelwork sectors.
Understand how to develop and deliver a working design from conception to completion, within the required budget.
Proven track record in CAD, including excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2024 LT.
Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, with a strong focus on customer care.
Excellent organisational and time management skills that enable high quality work in a busy environment.
Full UK driving license and a passport, including the willingness to travel.
