FORKLIFT OPERATOR - PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY
Forte Recruitment are looking for experienced Forklift Drivers to join our busy client in the Basingstoke.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
You would be working within a small team, in a high pressured and busy role.
Each individual team helps to ensure the smooth running of the company's operations, so you would be playing an important and integral role in the whole logistics process.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful Forklift Operator will be required to:-
* Loading / unloading lorries.
* Scanning the products as deliveries come into the warehouse.
* Checking the products and placing into storage.
* In control of moving the products around the warehouse to various stations.
* Ensuring all pressures and temperature controls are up to a certain standard.
* Maintaining clean and safe work environment.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
The successful Forklift Operator must:-
* Be a good communicator.
* Be self-motivated.
* Be able to multi-task and prioritise workloads.
* Be able to work well within a small team.
* Be able to use own initiative.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
* Full training will be given.
* The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, very flexible and a good team player.
* The role involves lifting heavy boxes (21kg) repetitively in confined spaces.
* The role will involve working Bank Holidays and weekends as per shift pattern.
* Flexibility will be required in terms of shift pattern and hours worked, in order to meet the daily demands of the business.
If successful you will be required to work 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift – working a total of 40 hours per week.
Working an extra day will be paid at time and a quarter. if you work a bank holiday, you will be paid time and a half.
