Associate or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services Design

This role is to join an established consulting engineering practice who specialise in design within the mechanical and electrical field, they are now looking for a Senior or Associate Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

They are a professional SME with a good reputation and repeat customers, design work undertaken includes schools, university, cultural, high end residential, offices, and listed buildings.

Responsibilities

* Be client facing and involved in all stages of the projects from inception to completion.

* Producing drawings and specifications

* Producing calculations or guiding others to complete them.

* Promote a high level of technical excellence relating to mechanical engineering within the team.

* Maintain repeat business through customer care of existing clients.

* Working on a variety of technically challenging and interesting projects across varied sectors

* Working closely with others in a team environment to achieve a common goal.

Experience / Key Skills

* Experience of mechanical design engineering in building services from inception to completion.

* Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines.

* Possess genuine interest and knowledge of sustainable design and low energy buildings.

* Familiarity with site practices, and experience of inspections and surveys

* Possess a good understanding of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.

* Competent in specification writing, design/drawing for all building types
