Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. As an integral member of staff, you will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they have access to high-quality education tailored to their individual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, including those with learning disabilities, behavioural difficulties, or physical disabilities
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) to help students achieve their educational goals
Support students in accessing the curriculum, adapting materials and resources as necessary
Promote inclusion and positive social interaction among students, fostering a supportive and respectful learning environment
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents/carers to monitor student progress and adjust support strategies accordingly
Provide personal care and assistance with daily tasks, as required
Requirements:

Previous experience working with individuals with SEN, preferably within an educational setting
Knowledge of various special educational needs and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents/carers, and colleagues
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential)
